Zachary Guren is the director of real estate development at GBX Group, who specializes in preserving and operating historic real estate in urban markets throughout the country. Representing GBX’s interests, Zach manages the company’s development projects, which account for approximately one-third of the 8-12 assets acquired annually. Prior to joining GBX in 2019, Zach served as development manager for First Interstate Properties for over seven years and gained valuable experience in the development process by participating in the management of several projects in a variety of sectors, including retail, hospitality, and multifamily.
Locally, he serves as a director for the Hershey Foundation, a foundation dedicated to providing Northeast Ohio children from all socio-economic and cultural backgrounds with opportunities for personal growth and development.
Zach received his Bachelor of Science in Psychology and Economics at University of Michigan and earned his Master of City Planning and Master of Environmental Studies from University of Pennsylvania. Additionally, he has been a LEED accredited professional since 2009. Zach and his wife, Lauren, both born and raised in Northeast Ohio, now reside with their two young children in Cleveland Heights.
