Rick Hyde is currently making his third attempt at retirement after spending a career in investment management that spanned 47 years. Hyde, who earned his undergraduate and MBA degrees at Miami University, began his career at the Cleveland Trust Company and during the next 25 years had the distinction of serving as Chief Investment Officer at Ameritrust, Society, and Key Corp without ever changing jobs. After his first retirement in 1995, Hyde formed Moreland Capital, Inc. which was focused on representing Middle Eastern relationships. In 2017, Hyde retired from Wellspring Financial Advisors, which Hyde and three other individuals had formed in 2007. Hyde and his wife Marilyn split their time between their preserved property in Newbury, and their home in Santa Fe, New Mexico.
