Kathy Leavenworth, a retired consultant in interpersonal training, communications, group dynamics, strategic planning and outdoor team-building, has been involved in civic, community and educational issues for more than four decades.
A 36-year member of the West Geauga Local School Board and President of that board for 23 years, Leavenworth also served as president of the Ohio School Boards Association and as a member of the Ohio State Board of Education where she chaired the Early Childhood subcommittee. Leavenworth attended Wells College in Aurora, N.Y. and holds a bachelor’s degree in interpersonal communications from Cleveland State University.
She also serves on the boards of the Land Trust Alliance (LTA), Cuyahoga Valley National Park Conservancy, The West Geauga Educational Foundation, and is president of the Geauga Humane Society’s Rescue Village. She has lived in Russell Township for over 50 years.
