Lisa Brown

Manager of Development Operations

Lisa Brown is the Manager of Development Operations at Western Reserve Land Conservancy. In her role, Lisa provides prospect research and prospect development services to the Land Conservancy’s Development team. She also works extensively in the fundraising donor database, where she completes donor reporting, data analytics, and produces the fundraising attainment report. Lisa works closely with front line fundraisers and the Finance team to create and maintain the proposal pipeline, which is critical to forecasting the Land Conservancy’s fundraising efforts.

She is passionate about equitable access to green spaces for everyone living in Northeast Ohio. As a mother to her young daughter, Lisa is a firm believer in unstructured outdoor free play for all children.

Lisa’s expertise includes high-level background donor research, financial and demographic analysis, and capacity evaluations, and a wide range of development research activities to support all fundraising initiatives. She completes donor database maintenance and provides data analytics, fundraising reporting, and pipeline management.

Before joining Western Reserve Land Conservancy, Lisa worked at The Cleveland Orchestra as part of the Philanthropy & Advancement’s operations team. While at The Orchestra, Lisa was a contributing member of the fundraising team that raised over $20 million each year to support the organization’s operating budget. She began her career working at Ashland University in its Legacy Estate program. During law school, Lisa held internships with the City of Cleveland’s Prosecutor’s Office and with the City of Cleveland’s Department of Building and Housing.

Lisa is a 2007 graduate of Mount Union College, where she graduated summa cum laude with a double major in Spanish and Political Science and a minor in Legal Studies. After graduation, Lisa went on to earn a law degree from the University of Toledo, where she graduated magna cum laude. She was admitted into the Ohio Bar in 2010.

Lisa resides in Amherst with her husband Robert, their toddler daughter, Indie, and their cockapoo dog Gatsby. Lisa is an avid runner who enjoys traveling, camping, hiking, paddle boarding, and spending time at Lake Erie.
