Krissie Wells is the Urban Projects Manager at Western Reserve Land Conservancy and is based in our downtown office. She graduated from the Mandel School of Applied Social Sciences in 2010 with a Master of Social Work degree focused on community development. Before joining the Land Conservancy in 2022, Krissie worked as a nonprofit development professional for several years at College Now Greater Cleveland and University Settlement, and as a research associate at Fair Housing Cleveland. Krissie has significant experience in private and public grant writing, special event planning, and social science research. Krissie lives on Cleveland’s near west side with her husband, Alex, and her daughter, Ruby. Her family loves traveling to well-designed, walkable, and bikeable cities which inspires her work at the Land Conservancy. Krissie is a former selectee of the Next City Vanguard, an experiential urban leadership gathering of rising urban leaders under 40 who are improving their cities. Krissie also serves on the Ohio City Incorporated and Bike Cleveland Board of Directors and owns Joy Machines Bike Shop with her husband.
