As the stewardship specialist, he helps to manage the Land Conservancy’s Parks and Preserves. Andrew brings enthusiasm and a strong work ethic to all things conservation.
The natural world has always been an interest for Andrew, but it was not until he took an Environmental Science class during his senior year of high school, that he considered a career in conservation. Since then, he has taken every opportunity to advance his knowledge in the broad fields of conservation and ecology. Over the years, he has become a very strong advocate for biodiversity and native species and works to incorporate those values every chance he can.
Prior to becoming the Stewardship Specialist at the Land Conservancy, Andrew was a crew leader for The Nature Conservancy’s restoration crew in Northeast Ohio. There he worked all over the region treating invasive species, as well as managing habitats for key species such as Eastern Hemlock and Eastern Massasauga Rattlesnake.
Currently, Andrew resides in Cleveland Heights, but one day hopes to have some land where he can do his own restoration projects and have plenty of space for dogs and learning how to grow food.
