The Western Reserve Land Conservancy protects over 10,000 acres of wetland and riverine habitat. These nature preserves provide critical habitat for a diverse array of plant and animal species. In honor of Endangered Species Day, we are spotlighting the jewels of the sky, Dragonflies & Damselflies (Order: Odonata). These fascinating flying insects dazzle us with their stunning colors and amazing acrobatics. Judy Semroc, author of Dragonflies & Damselflies of Northeast Ohio, will present on the basics of Odonata: body parts, life cycle, behaviors, and their voracious appetite. Judy will make special note of the rare and endangered species protected through the conservation efforts of the Land Conservancy.
