Join us virtually for an advanced tree identification session with Lizzie Sords, the Land Conservancy’s Manager of Urban Forestry Programs and Erica Henrichsen, our NOWCorps Community Forestry Specialist. Building on the skills and material presented in Foundations of Tree Identification, Lizzie and Erica will dive deeper into identifying oaks and maples, two groups of trees common to Ohio. During this session they’ll address how to distinguish between species found in Ohio. You’ll leave this webinar knowing the difference between a catkin and a samara, and how to identify members of these common genera to species.
