Join us as for a Sunday afternoon walk in nature at the Cassell Reservation of Lorain County Metro Parks. Cassell Reservation is a spectacular natural area with unique geologic features, mature Lake Plain Forest, and native prairie openings. Plan to hike the 2-mile sandstone gravel trail that loops through the center of the preserve.
Protection of the Cassell Reserve started in 2004 with an initial donation from the Cassell family. Through funding from the Clean Ohio Fund, the Land Conservancy partnered with Lorain County Metro Parks to protect an additional 85 acres at the reservation in 2014 and 2016. The natural area now stands at 290 acres in conservation.
Advanced registration is required.
