Nature Quest: Halloween Origami (Ages 7+ years old)

October 29, 2023 @ 1:00 pm - 3:30 pm

Join us for a fun, unique Sunday afternoon. Naturalist Judy Semroc will lead our group of adventurers on a nature hike along the loop trail at Forest Ridge Preserve, located directly behind the Land Conservancy’s Conservation Center. After our hike, we’ll head inside to warm up around the fireplace and fold Halloween-themed origami with Origamist Lisa Cheng. Craft supplies will be provided. Each child will take home 2-3 works of art.

Folding origami can be relaxing and meditative, or as challenging as a difficult puzzle. The folding sequence is magical as a 2-dimensional shape transforms into a beautiful sculpture that can be abstract or realistic, or representative of an animal, bird, flower or form from nature, mathematics, or the imagination.

Advanced registration is required.
