Mikolaj Preserve/Laleure Vineyards (Parkman)
Fee: $30/person
Leaders: Judy Semroc, Naturalist and Field Biologist and Renee Boronka, Director of Conservation Education
As summer winds down, join us for a stroll through the restored fields and wetlands at the Mikolaj Preserve, a 185-acre property protected by the Land Conservancy in 2019. Following the morning walk, we’ll caravan to nearby Laleure Vineyards in Parkman for lunch and a sampling of their wines, which are all made from grapes grown on the property. Growing their own grapes enables Laleure to control all aspects of quality from the ground into the bottle. The wines made are truly representative of the local terroir and of its northeast Ohio location.
Advanced registration is required. Transportation is on-your-own.
Fee: $30/person, includes naturalist-led hike, assorted sandwiches, chips and cookies for lunch, and a comprehensive wine tasting with the wine makers. Attendees are on their own to purchase glasses and bottles of wine.
Limit: 20
Location: Directions to the protected property will be sent to registrants. It is in West Farmington. Laleure Vineyards is at 17335 Nash Road (Route 88) in Parkman, Ohio 44080.
