GOJO Gives Back

November 19, 2021 @ 8:30 am - 12:00 pm

Western Reserve Land Conservancy invites GOJO volunteers to join us at Jack Rabbit Hill in Cleveland’s Union Miles neighborhood. This 5-acre site used to be a neighborhood dumping ground, but the Land Conservancy’s staff and volunteers have cleaned up the property and planted 85 trees to provide residents with a beautiful community greenspace. This large-scale tree planting also represents a special opportunity to demonstrate urban reforestation, and is an important step towards reforesting the City of Cleveland to a healthy tree canopy level once more.

GOJO volunteers are needed to help prepare these 85 trees for winter, including mulching the trees and checking their stakes and deer caging. Volunteers will also help clean-up the site as needed.

Location: Jack Rabbit HIll – 9609 Way Ave, Cleveland, OH 44105
Date/Time: Friday, November 19 from 8:30 AM to 12:00 PM
