The Ashcroft Woods complex provides habitat to the West Virginia White Butterfly, Spotted Turtles, Black Bear, Bobcat, Snowshoe Hare, Prothonatary Warbler and nesting Sandhill Cranes among other endemic wetland and woodland species. Join Land Conservancy staff and volunteers on a guided birding experience during the south-bound migration of northern birds and the start of waterfowl season.

Attendees will be split into small groups. We ask that all participants wear face masks and practice social distancing at all times.
Attire:
Please wear weather appropriate & comfortable clothing that you do not mind getting wet or dirty. Long pants and close-toed shoes are recommended. Birders are encouraged to bring: their own binoculars, bug spray, sunscreen, reusable water bottles. Face masks are mandatory.
