Jake Kuipers is a cross-border transactions partner at the international law firm McDermott Will & Emery. He guides multinational entities through complex legal infrastructures for successful cross-border operations, counseling strategic and institutional investors by leading M&A, venture financings, and complex partnerships. Prior to practicing law, Jake worked for several years in public service for the federal government, non-profits, and economic development organizations.
Jake teaches a graduate international mergers and acquisition course at Tufts University. He also serves on the board of directors of the Boston Network for International Development. Although Jake grew up in the west, the son of a fly-fishing guide and sociologist, he now enjoys exploring the rivers and woods of northeast Ohio with his wife, Julie, and their two daughters.
