A lifelong lover of reading and writing, Gwynnie Kowalski knew that she wanted to pursue a career that allowed her to use her language skills to make a difference in the world. As the Communications and Marketing Specialist at Western Reserve Land Conservancy, she is able to combine her passion for our region’s outdoor spaces with her keen interest in storytelling.
Gwynnie believes that quality writing is an invaluable tool to connect with the world around you.
She is energized by improving written work, whether finding sneaky typos when proofreading or suggesting rewrites for clunky sentences.
Gwynnie previously worked as an editor on a team that creates travel guides for locations across Ohio, where she discovered new things about the Buckeye state as she honed her editorial eye and oversaw a variety of print projects. She holds a bachelor’s degree in English with a minor in professional writing from The Ohio State University.
Gwynnie lives in Lakewood with her husband, Graham, and their cat, Momo. In her free time, she enjoys diving into a good book, crocheting, baking, exploring new places, and getting outside. She has a penchant for rainy days, cozy coffee shops, and British comedies.
