Join us for a volunteer workday at Fannie Lewis Park in the Hough neighborhood of Cleveland. We will be watering the newly planted trees in the park to help them thrive this summer. We will be carrying buckets of water to our trees to provide them with the vital resource they need for growing a healthy root system. If there is a need, we will also be picking up litter and weeding the mulch rings.
We will provide gloves, tools and vests for you. Please wear clothes and shoes you are comfortable walking around in while carrying buckets. Sunscreen, sunglasses, and hats are encouraged. In the effort of sustainability, we ask that you bring your own reusable water bottle; we will have a water jug to refill with.
In the event of a rainy week, we will switch from watering trees to another activity including mulching, weeding, and picking up litter. We will let you know the week of the event if changes to the activity will be made.
