Field Exploration: Bat Survey

Join us for a unique evening as we survey the bat population at our Signature Blue Heron Preserve. Ecologist Jason Whittle will share is knowledge on bats and other wildlife that come out at night. In addition to bat banding, he will set up a light station to document moth diversity at the preserve. Blue Heron Preserve is located in Burton, OH.

Fee: $15/person
Limit: 15 people
Location: Directions will be sent to registrants. Our assembly location is in Burton, OH.

About our Field Trip Leader
Jason Whittle has more than a decade of experience in research, conservation, and education related to regional ecology and parklands. A biologist by training and education, he specializes in natural resource management and has a passion for relating to the community the importance of conservation. Jason is adept at encouraging a love of the outdoors, and fostering a sense of environmental stewardship.

Advanced registration is required.
