Garden/Landscaping Volunteer

We’re looking for dedicated volunteers to assist with the care and maintenance of gardens at our Conservation Center in Moreland Hills, as well as during group workdays at the urban parks and preserves the Land Conservancy owns and manages in Cleveland.  

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys gardening and is comfortable working independently. It’s a plus if you can identify plants but it is not required. 

Responsibilities/Duties

  • Maintain Garden: Perform tasks including weeding beds and plant care, including installing, moving, and thinning plants as needed. 
  • Plant Monitoring: Help identify and monitor native and invasive plants. Plant ID knowledge is a plus but not required. 
  • Independent Work: Complete solo tasks at our Conservation Center. 

Qualifications

  • Comfortable weeding beds; lots of bending and kneeling. 
  • Able to work alone with minimal supervision. 
  • Interest in pollinator habitat and conservation. 

Time Commitment

Flexible, needed more often during the growing season.
